DICE originally denied it, they claimed it was peoples' TVs. They finally acknowledged it and released a patch to disable anti-aliasing, it did nothing. DICE released a further patch claiming to have fixed it. It gave a noticeable difference but not enough. Now, after 399 days, DICE and EA released a patch that resolved the input lag for HD TVs but at the same time introducing lag to SD TVs.
It took 13 months! It's was a fundamental flaw in the gamethat should have been resolved. DICE and EA should be ashamed of themselves! In the mean time DICE and EA have released numerous expansion packs, costing $50 for them all, while neglecting this issue. Shameful behaviour.
Because of this, I have sold Battlefield 3 a long time ago and will be very wary about buying another EA/DICE game.
Thanks to all who spread the word and kept hassling DICE. Hopefully this has got through to them... if not for BF3, then for future games.
